Quicktime animations

Observers viewed photographs of natural scenes and actively searched for changes. The change occurred gradually over a period of 12 seconds. The compression necessary to put these videos on the web may produce some visual artifacts that were not in the original displays. Even though the change is visible if you know where to attend, a large number of these changes go unnoticed. The studies suggest that a visual disruption is not needed to produce change blindness.
